Clinicians / Reseachers Workshop

A one week in-person workshop was conducted at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe), Duduville Campus, Kasarani-Nairobi, Kenya (12-16 August 2024). The workshop focused on the upskilling of researchers and clinicians’ skills. The training included modules on good data management practice; creating and implementing data management plans; applying standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines for managing data; data science tools; and promoting the use of best practices. The modules provided hands-on experience in data management and using tools and platforms for processing, analysis, categorizing, classifying, storing, archiving, publishing, sharing, and retrieving research data. The training also included upskilling in the infrastructure and tools developed by Data Science for health Discovery and Innovation-Open Data Science Platform (DSI-ODSP) in collaboration with the ODSP team.
